Bury St Edmunds update

Time passes quickly but we are making good progress with our Bury St Edmunds project. The main clearing has been done, the paths marked, the sub base is laid and the patio well on the way to completion. In fact we are running a little ahead of schedule.  The design translated from paper to ‘the real world’ easily which is always a good feeling for a designer - and this makes the project run much more smoothly.
The raised beds are started and these should be completed by the weekend. This will really make the garden come to life - the added height of these near the house will complement the building and you should notice that the hardlandscaping is prominent by the built structure of the building and less so as you travel through the site - solid patio, moving through to the less formal feel of gravel towards the end/bottom of the garden. The sets that will edge the path create a continuity through the space.

Anyway, thats all a bit designery - have a look at the images of progress so far - much easier to see what we are doing with pictures, rather than words.
